Dating Tips for a First Date in London

I was asked a question a few weeks ago by a male who was first time dating in London, he wanted some dating tips and he was nervous.

The first thing I said was to be yourself, it sounds obvious but very few first time daters follow this rule. If they try to be someone they are not, it can be spotted if not immediately then it will be a few dates down the road.

Next one is to take some flowers and act like a gentleman, open a door for your date – she will love it! Make sure you give a telephone call the next day andf tell her you had a great time (if you did)

Other things which may seem obvious but are often missed are:

make sure you shower and use a very light cologne
make sure your hair is just right and doesn’t stick up where it shouldn’t
give your teeth a really thorough brushing and floss as well
wear appropriate clothes, if you are meeting in a bar don’t go dressed for an all night rave
look your date in the face as much as possible and especially look into her eyes

Don’t be over touchy feely, by all means hold her hand but don’t start putting your arm round her on a first date.

These dating tips will help, but above all be yourself, you can’t put an act on for ever.
